Types of Body Piercing Jewelry

If you couldn't tell by our site's name "Gold Silver & Bling Bling", bling bling stands for jewelry that is worn for beauty and status and right now we'll be discussing what types of body piercing jewelry there are. Body piercing jewelry is any type of jewelry that is put inside a body piercing, which needs to be the right size in order to fit. Piercings differ and can be anywhere on the body and anywhere in size, such as the lips, face, body, ears, nose, and the more discreet parts. So we'll be walking you through what kinds of jewelry you can wear for each.

Types of Body Piercing Jewelry

For ear piercings

For ear piercings you can choose from a large selection of fine jewelry meant especially for the ear. Yeah, you have the well known earring that sits inside the ear lobe but there are rings that can fit almost anywhere on the ear. There are a ton of places you can get an ear piercing and there's always enough ear rings to fit in each. Not only are there rings but you can also fit in plugs in your lobe. It's not so much a ring as it is a standard plug, like a manhole cover that plugs up the hole that leads to the sewer. I know, bad comparison but it's basically the same. Below is a bunch of ear piercings you can get and the most common type of jewelry for it are rings.

For nose piercings

Rings and studs are the usual jewelry used for nose piercings. Studs are commonly known as nose studs and rings are known as nose rings, although septum rings are something else entirely. Barbells can also be used for a bridge piercing or a vertical tip nose piercing. Nose piercings are really popular among men and women and there are different kinds of piercings you can get. Just do a simple search for it on Google and you'll learn all of them in a minute or two.

For body piercings

There are dermal anchors, studs, and barbells that are used specifically for body piercings. A body piercing is a piercing where the skin must be pierced in two places and dermal anchors looks like little beads. Barbells can be used for navel piercings and studs are used everywhere else. Body piercings usually hurt more than other piercings that deal with cartilage and that's because the skin is pretty sensitive. Now, if you have sensitive skin it'll be extra painful.

For lip piercings

Rings, barbells, and studs are the common jewelry used for lip piercings. Labret piercing uses rings and barbells while a Monroe, Madonna, Medusa, and Lowbret piercings make use of the stud. You can also use rings for snake bites and angel bites and barbells are usually used for Jestrum piercings, where the barbell beads stick out from the top of the upper lip as well as under it.
